Website

The Business

Aran SecureTech is a Virginia-based cybersecurity advisory firm. It helps small and growing organizations understand cyber risk and decide what to do about it — across Microsoft 365 security, CMMC readiness, cyber insurance readiness, security awareness, and fractional security leadership.

It is not a managed service provider and it does not resell products. That distinction is central to how the firm works, so it had to be visible on the website immediately rather than explained on a secondary page.

Who they serve

Government contractors, professional service firms, and Microsoft 365 organizations.

What they sell

Advice and decision support — not managed services, monitoring, or product licences.

Who reads the site

Owners and executives making budget and risk decisions, not security engineers.

How they engage

Assessments, readiness reviews, training, and ongoing advisory retainers.

⸺ The Challenge

Selling Judgment, Not a Product

Advisory work is difficult to show. There is no dashboard to screenshot and no platform to demo — the product is judgment. The site had to make an intangible service feel concrete and credible to a reader who cannot evaluate the technical detail.

It also had to hold a boundary. Most visitors already buy IT support from someone, so the site needed to explain where advisory work sits relative to an MSP or an internal team, without sounding like a criticism of either.

Technical subject, non-technical reader

Explain security decisions without requiring the visitor to understand security.

Advisory vs. IT operations

Make the line between AST and an MSP or internal IT team explicit and neutral.

Five services, one path

Present a range of offerings without fragmenting the visitor’s journey.

Credibility before contact

Earn trust on the page, in a category where the buyer is cautious by default.

Pressure on the left, outcome on the right.
The homepage names four business pressures and answers each one in the same view, so the visitor understands the problem and the response before scrolling further.

⸺ Our Approach

Built Around the Questions Leaders Actually Ask

We structured the site around three questions a business owner asks in this category: what is exposed, what should we do first, and who is responsible for doing it. Every major section moves from a pressure to an outcome, and every service page repeats the same sequence so the reasoning stays consistent site-wide.

Technical vocabulary is used where it is the client’s actual language — Microsoft 365, CMMC, vCISO — and translated everywhere else.

Business-first language

Findings framed as operational, financial, and compliance impact rather than settings.

Paired problem and outcome

Each pressure the firm addresses is shown next to the result it produces.

One repeatable service template

Problem, solution, value, and next step — the same order on every service page.

A single primary action

Every section funnels to one request: book an assessment or readiness review.

⸺ Website Experience

A Restrained System, Applied Consistently

Deep navy, a single green accent, generous white space, and one typeface. The design stays quiet so the content carries the weight — appropriate for a category where visual noise reads as sales pressure.

Services as a decision grid.
Each card carries a number, an engagement type, and a one-line description, so a visitor can locate the service that matches their situation without reading all four.

The positioning problem, solved visually

The clearest way to explain what an advisory firm does was to place it beside what it does not do. Two columns, equal weight, no winner — advisory on one side, technology operations on the other.

The comparison answers the objection most visitors arrive with, and it does it without asking them to read a paragraph of positioning copy.

A named method, given a fixed form.
AST Secure365™ appears as the same five-stage strip wherever it is referenced, so a proprietary methodology reads as a real process rather than a marketing label.

Proof, reasons, and a low-commitment offer.
One block carries a client story, the three reasons the firm wins work, and an optional executive resource for visitors who are not ready to book a call.

⸺ Service Architecture

Five Services on One Template

The firm sells five distinct engagements, and each one attracts a different visitor. Rather than designing five pages, we designed one page structure and let the content differentiate them — problem, solution, value, scope, and a single call to action, in that order every time.

01
Microsoft 365 Security & Business Risk Assessment

The flagship engagement. Configuration, identity, governance, and resilience gaps, returned as a prioritized executive roadmap.

02
Fractional Cybersecurity Advisor (vCISO)

Ongoing advisory. Executive-level guidance, governance, and decision support without a full-time security hire.

03
CMMC Readiness

Readiness support for government contractors — practices, evidence, and a remediation roadmap ahead of a formal assessment.

04
Cybersecurity Awareness Training

People and culture. Practical security judgment across a workforce, taught in business terms.

05
Cyber Insurance Readiness

Control evaluation and supportable answers for insurance applications and renewals.

Fractional Advisor (vCISO)
CMMC Readiness

Three steps, then the method.
Each service page narrows a broad engagement into three plain steps and closes the section by anchoring them to the firm’s named methodology.

Deliverables stated plainly.
Naming exactly what the client receives removes the main hesitation in buying an advisory engagement.

An illustrative summary card.
A small visual device that gives an abstract assessment a recognizable shape in the hero.

⸺ Responsive Design

The Same Argument on a Phone

The mobile layout keeps the order of the argument intact. Two-column comparisons stack in sequence rather than collapsing into a list, cards become full-width blocks, and the primary action stays a full-width button at the point the visitor is most likely to act.

⸺ The Finished Website

A Platform the Firm Can Grow Into

Aran SecureTech now has a site that states its position clearly, separates advisory work from IT operations, and presents five services through one consistent structure. New engagements slot into the existing service template, and the methodology gives every page a shared spine.

The result is a credible, executive-level presence for a specialist firm — built to be extended rather than rebuilt.
